To find out what would be the perfect layout for the client, we first proposed 3 spatial concepts. The BIG-BIGGER-BIGGEST concept was elaborated into a final plan, where you come in through a narrow, long hall, entering the heart of the house in the kitchen/dining area. One step down you enter the light and open ‘conservatory room’ with two skylights and floor-to-ceiling windows, so you really feel connected with the garden.
The bedroom is made to a minimum, with a reading nook looking into the new created patio. This way, the room in front of the house can be used as a television room, looking out at the Rembrandtpark.
